LWSS/MWSS/HWSS to glider

Post by knightlife » July 11th, 2009, 9:47 pm

About as simple as it gets, convert any standard spaceship to a glider cleanly:

Code: Select all

x = 17, y = 20, rule = B3/S23
16bo$14b3o$13bo$13b2o9$3bo$4bo$o3bo$b4o$13b2o$12bo2bo$12bo2bo$13b2o!
Only the pond is consumed:

To try other spaceships, just lengthen the tail.
The eater gets rid of a block that would otherwise form.

I forgot about this one, it's even simpler.

x = 36, y = 4, rule = B3/S23
3bo19bo$4bo5b2ob2o9bo$o3bo5b2ob2o5bo3bo6b2ob2o$b4o16b4o6b2ob2o!

The direction of the glider is different and it only works for LWSS but it is a much faster converter.
