Could you please explain to me how the block, boat, snake, and ship work? (I might be starting to understand the block.)
This is an example usage of a boat. (My searches tend to turn up tons of still life factories.) In this case, it actually reacts twice in quick succession.
Code: Select all
x = 17, y = 19, rule = LifeHistory

An example of a snake usage would be this here. I was sadly unable to fully stabilize it, and the snake gets destroyed soon after its catalysis of the reaction.
Code: Select all
x = 17, y = 28, rule = LifeHistory

For the block, this block factory is an example.
Code: Select all
x = 15, y = 13, rule = LifeHistory

Finally, an example of a ship catalysis would be one of my attempted stabilizations of your new converter:
Code: Select all
x = 22, y = 23, rule = LifeHistory

Explaining how to use catalysts is difficult, maybe Gustavo's and EvinZL's cheat sheets would be useful to you.

Also, this blinker factory might be of some use, I didn't think it was, but then I realized that the blinker gets placed decently far away from any catalysts. It's still in the reaction envelope though.
