Turing-Complete Computer Project in JVN

I am going to try to create a full, turing-complete, computer using the von neuman celluar automata. I want my computer to accually have a simplistic GUI. I can not find very many online resources about Jvn. Does anybody know where I could find these resources, or could somebody help/tutor me?
