Minor problem with giffer.pl

Post by gmc_nxtman » May 26th, 2015, 10:51 pm

Hi. :roll: I'm sorry to have to create a new topic for this, but I would have no idea where to look for this. Anyways, I'm having a minor trouble with giffer. I want to use a puffer from move (b368/s245) in gif format as my avatar, but I want the script to output the gif with smooth animation, instead of it being choppy.

Is there some sort of preference I might have to change?

Some sort of options GUI?

Thanks in advance and sorry for the inconvenience, gmc_nxtman

Hmm. I'm not quite sure what the problem is... But if my avatar on the right doesn't filcker, I recommend you to try this script:

Thank you! That is a fantastic script! :D

Is there a way to change the default color for dead and alive cells, so that the gif has R = 236, G = 241, B = 243 as a color for dead cells? I tried changing the default .colors file for B3/S0248 but nothing happened.

I suspect it has something to do with these lines of code?:

Code: Select all

colortable = "\xFF\xFF\xFF\x00\x00\x00\xC6\xC6\xC6\x00\x00\x00"
EDIT

Figured it out. So I guess bumping this topic was pointless...
