Every Other B-Heptomino to Glider

Post by Extrementhusiast » October 4th, 2009, 6:49 pm

Accidentally found this reaction:

Code: Select all

x = 3, y = 9, rule = B3/S23
2o$2o4$b2o$2o$b2o$2bo!
Interestingly enough, if a second B-heptomino is stuck in the exact same position as the first one after the boat is formed, a glider is released. Anybody know how to synthesize the B-heptomino in such cramped conditions?

The boat gets in the way of the 3 standard 2 glider syntheses. But I suspect you already knew that. :) I'll play around with kickbacks to see if I can get around that problem.

Edit:
Still no luck. I can get around the block, but that boat seems impossible to avoid. :(
