2.3G C1 soups searched and still no natural linear growth.

Looks like patterns in this rule tend to die more often and stabilize to less amount of ash compared to CGOL.

Yes, I agree, but the Block-Laying Switch Engine isn't too common in CGoL too.

Why do you want to remove it?
For a possible xp22 synthesis:

Code: Select all

x = 16, y = 16, rule = B2n3/S23-q
3b2o$3b2o$3o4$5bo$4bobo$5b2o$7b2o$7bobo$8bo5b2o$14b2o$13bo$13bo$13bo!
The object comes from the r-pentamino and b-heptamino, but they would've come too close to the boat-tie and would destroy it.

That's a nice idea you have!

The "remove spark" approach looks hard though.

I thought about that, but there's a lot of rules that has knightship...
I also thought about "TrafficLife" after the p6 traffic light, but there's nothing interesting about that p6...

Maybe "LeapLife"? The knightship = "lepa" after its apgcode(13p4).

Yeah, looks like a p4 oscillator with 13 cells, not a spaceship LOL

But 1 looks like l and 3 looks like a reversed E and 4 looks like upper-case A. So it's lepa.

Interesting - especially the lower one in the second pattern. You did a nice work on the catalysts. It can't do anything really good, though...

Also by your first pattern, I think now every patterns that can be glider-synthesised can be blockic-seeded.

EDIT: I found only one way to catalyst this G+Block reaction shown in white, currently, with the green catalyst.

Code: Select all

6c/40 partial:

Code: Select all

Obviously not useful unless we can get like a crawler or something out of it
You should consider this as a TL push instead of a 6c/40 partial.

EDIT: Investigating the butterfly/bookend further.
