My c/3 wishlist

Post by Platypus5 » December 15th, 2011, 7:43 pm

Hi, its me, the uninformed guy who uses GoL to make battleships that shoot each other.

Has anyone made any of the following?

1. More symmetrical c/3 rakes that shoot two gliders in opposite directions.

2. A c/3 rake that shoots gliders from near the top of the rake.

3. small forward llws ship rake (c/3)

I don't have much to offer in return other than interesting-looking "warships," but if anyone knows where I can find one of these, it would be nice.

Happy holidays.

P.S. Is there anything I could do to help out the Conway Life community? I don't really understand how any of the patterns work, but I like them and it would be nice if I could give something back.
Unsorted C/3 search output? Somewhat newish C/3 edgesparker? give it to me, and my "battleships" just may have a use for it. :)

I think everything you mentioned is in there; if not, one can easily construct them from provided components:

What do you do with ill crystallographers? Take them to the mono-clinic!

Sorry, I should have mentioned: I already have that pattern catalog and looked through the whole thing, but do not have enough skill to modify the rakes on anything but the most rudimentary level.

Also, is there a way to give back to the conway life group?
