A puffer that can clean up after another copy of itself?

About a month ago, I found a puffer that is made up of two Coe Ships and a Schick Engine. Was this puffer known before? It has an interesting property - it can clean up after a copy of itself. This comes from HWSS-like domino spark of Coe ENgine. In the RLE, it is shown doing cleanup after two copies of itself, with its own output cleared by two HWSS's.

This seems to be not really the puffer part doing the cleaning, just the HWSS-ish domino sidespark of the Coe ship… so you could do the same with a whole lot of basic puffers featuring a HWSS or MWSS. For a quick example, here's two copies of Puffer 1 with their HWSSs cleaning up a third one's exhaust:

I know, but with the puffer engines the Three Smokes puffer is triangular. It can be turned into an arbitrarily-large Sierpinsky ship.

I don't think I really grasp what's so special about things that can be arranged in a triangular or Sierpinsky shape? It's easy to make eg. a triangle of heavyweight Schicks (linked by minor spark interaction):
