112P15 (or flicker) is an unnamed period-15 oscillator found by Maia Karpovich on April 4, 2016 as part of a haul submitted to Adam P. Goucher's Catagolue.[1][2] It consists of a symmetric 48-bit still life[3] interacting with four copies of an unnamed object which in generation 1 resembles a ship and two gliders.

Synthesis

Mark Niemiec found a 56-glider synthesis of 112P15 on March 30, 2017,[4] based on a sample soup from a haul submitted to Catagolue the same day by an anonymous user.[5] On January 9, 2024, KtT found a 50-glider synthesis.[6][7]
