58P37 (or p37 R-pentomino hassler) is a period-37 oscillator found by ljkiernan1 on June 24, 2022 via a symmetric CatForce search.[1] It led to the construction of the first glider gun with true period 37,[2] consisting of one copy of 58P37 and one copy of Beluchenko's other p37 stabilizing a p37 reaction found by goldenratio in December 2021.[3] It was quickly found that Beluchenko's oscillator could also be replaced by 58P37, leading to the form shown below.
