Anura is a sparky 3c/7 orthogonal spaceship found by Dylan Chen on December 28, 2020.[1] It is the second elementary 3c/7 orthogonal spaceship, and the first not based on the spaghetti monster. It can be viewed as a stabilization of a failed puffer, and the front two-fifths can alternatively be supported by two spaghetti monster escorts.[2] It was briefly the smallest 3c/7 spaceship until a smaller backend was discovered on December 31, producing a spaceship with minimum population 257.[3] In January 2021, bubblegum found a block-laying tagalong for one leg,[4] enabling double and quadruple block puffers. Aidan F. Pierce used this puffer to create a 18c/42 spaceship soon after.[5]
