Butter is an oscillator first discovered by Entity Valkyrie in 2019.[1]
It only requires the corner dot spark, so molds can be in either orientatiion singly and doubly trans isomers.
Occurrence
Being glide-symmetric with a minpop of 38, it is not conducive to soup searches, and has not occurred in any censuses.
Synthesis
A final step for all three variants (creating the supporting molds from long boats while converting a mold with a single glider) was found by Goldtiger997 two days after its discovery.[2]

In other rules
The B3a transition can also be omitted rather than suppressed, allowing unsupported butters but preventing mold and jam.
