Canada Grey is a c/2 orthogonal greyship, named for its synthesis by Goldtiger997 on Canada Day 2021. It was the first greyship to be synthesized, at a total of 753 gliders. It is also the first greyship in an unbounded series of increasingly large ships, all of which can be synthesised with the same basic toolkit. The original recipe for the next greyship in the series contained well over 1,300 gliders, which has since been reduced considerably. On October 13, Goldtiger997 published a script which automatically synthesizes an arbitrarily-large greyship, with the total glider cost increasing roughly quadratically.
