Four gliders suffice to construct this still life. Several known alternate syntheses can be found in Mark Niemiec's database.[1]

Occurrence

Among still lifes with 12 cells, this is the 49th most common still life according to Catagolue.

In diagonal symmetries, including 8-fold symmetries, it is much more common, becoming the sixth most common 12-cell still life.

There are no occurrences of this still life in final patterns of collisions in octohash, octo3obj or octo3g databases.

In other rules

In Grounded Life, carrier bridge carrier is about 1,500 times as common as it is in Life, making it the most common 12-cell still life by far.[2]
