Cis-boat up on long bookend is a 13-cell still life.
This still life is comprised of the normally stable boat acting to stabilise the normally unstable long bookend, an induction coil. This is one of four possible isomers, named cis due to the boat not extending past the side of the bookend, and up, due to the boat being closer to the dense part of the bookend; the other cis isomer, cis-boat down on long bookend, is farther from the dense part of the bookend, and the other two isomers, named trans, extend past the sides of the bookend.
It is the 171st most common still life on Adam P. Goucher's Catagolue.
All strict still lifes with a population of 22 or fewer cells, all oscillators with 16 or fewer cells, and all spaceships with 31 or fewer cells are known to be glider-constructible. A glider synthesis of this object can be found in the infobox to the right.
