Cis-boat with tail (or down boat with tail) is a 9-bit still life.
This still life is comprised of the normally stable boat with a normally unstable tail attached. This is one of two possible isomers, named cis due to the corner part of the boat being closer to the tail; the other isomer, trans-boat with tail, has this corner part facing outwards.
Cis-boat with tail is the forty-second most common still life in Achim Flammenkamp's census, being less common than fourteener but more common than long snake.[1]. It is also the fifty-fourth most common object on Adam P. Goucher's Catagolue.[2] Compared to the[trans-boat with tail, the cis-boat with tail is about 1/17 as common.
All strict still lifes with a population of 22 or fewer cells, all oscillators with 16 or fewer cells, and all spaceships with 31 or fewer cells are known to be glider-constructible. A glider synthesis of this object can be found in the infobox to the right.
