Construction

This still life is known to be constructible with 6 gliders.[1] Some known glider syntheses can be found in Mark Niemiec's database.[2]

Occurrence

This still life was the second-to-last 12-bit still life to appear naturally on Catagolue, in April 2015.[3]

Among the 121 still lifes with 12 cells, this is the second rarest according to Catagolue.

There are no collisions in octohash, octo3obj or octo3g databases with this still life occurring in the ash.
