Occurrence

Cis-loaf with nine is the 32nd most common 13-cell still life out of 240.

The octo3obj database contains one collision[4] with an occurrence of this still life in the ash; the final population is 51 with two escaping gliders.

Isomers

This still life is comprised of the normally stable loaf with a normally unstable nine attached. This is one of two possible isomers, named cis due to the bulk of the loaf being closer to the nine; the other isomer, trans-loaf with nine, has most of the loaf facing outwards.
