Occurrence

It is the 27th most common 11-cell still life out of 46. It is 12 times as rare as the trans-long boat with tail.

The octo3obj database contains two collisions with an occurrence of this still life in the final pattern.

Isomers

This still life is comprised of the normally stable long boat with a normally unstable tail attached. This is one of two possible isomers, named cis due to the corner part of the boat being closer to the tail; the other isomer, trans-long boat with tail, has this corner part facing outwards.
