Confused eaters is a period-4 oscillator that was found by David Buckingham no later than 1972.^[1] It consists of two eater 1s hassling a nine.

This oscillator first appeared naturally on March 21, 2020, in a haul submitted to Catagolue by Rob Liston.^[2]^[3]
