Fallback is a property of strong sparkers that means the region with the spark dies quickly. Stronger sparks have greater fallback. Unlike clearance, while fallback can be good or poor, it cannot be quantitatively measured. Two examples of high-period sparkers with high fallback are 104P9 and the domino spark in Merzenich's p31.
