Grid's p16 (or 'rid's p16) is a small period-16 oscillator discovered by Open Science Grid on November 30, 2022,[1], specifically in a dimer form within a symmetric soup.[2]

The name "Grid's p16" was first proposed by iNoMed, in analogy to Charity's, Rich's and Rob's p16s, all of which are named after their discoverers. "'rid's p16" features an abbreviation of "Grid" in order to maintain alliteration between the four oscillators.

It consists of a reaction between an unnamed active region supported by bookends and blocks on either side. Its original form had two of it preventing births from occurring in the space between two copies of the mechanism by gutter symmetry, but two toads[3] (as shown in the infobox) or eater 3s[4] can work as well. dani noted[2] that because the eater 3's purpose is to reflip the loaf that is flipped in the process of stabilising it, two instances can instead flip a loaf back and forth for a fourfold mod-8 variant.
