Highest volatility period-8 oscillators
Revision as of 15:10, 6 October 2023 by DroneBetter (talk | contribs) (add antiphase version of fourfold T-nosed p8 hassling interior ships (however nothing new or interesting), use {{frac}} at end)
All known period-8 oscillators with volatility of at least 0.8.

Extensible oscillators and infinite sets are noted as such but only listed as their first term, to prevent arbitrarily large ones approaching volatility 1 being listed infinitely many times. Note that the x*y generalisation of the roteightor has 6*(x+y)+28*x*y(18+28)*(x+y) = 14*x*yx+y + 323, but is discounted due to its infinite series' first term not being volatile enough.
Notes
- ↑ Explained in Eater 3 (which monomerises it)
- ↑ It contains both phases of an ephemeral scrubber in its centre
