Inverted frutterfly is a period-4 oscillator, and is among the smallest true-period-4 oscillators not based on mold.
Much like the frutterfly, it can nontrivially react with many small still lifes as to produce larger period-4 oscillators.
Relation to other oscillators
Inverted frutterfly is easily seen to be closely related to frutterfly, in which both halves are mirrored instead of rotated.
Inverted frutterfly is also remarkably similar to 20P4, with one phase even being composed of the exact same "four Ls", arranged slightly differently; the phases then differ by one cell in the next generation, then three, then five. The connection in inverted frutterfly is two cells wide instead.

Occurrence
This oscillator has not occurred in an asymmetric soup as of March 2024, but has in asymmetrical ash far from the centre in a C2_1 - a symmetry not conducive to this oscillator - soup found by Charity Engine on 2022-06-16.[1]
Glider synthesis
The smallest known glider synthesis of this, as of March 2024, requires eight gliders.
