Jack is a period-4 oscillator that was found by Robert Wainwright in April 1984. Its generations have 42, 44, 46 and 42 cells.
A 19-glider synthesis is known for this oscillator,[1] reusing the final step of an earlier 34-glider synthesis.[2]
