92P156, or Jason's p156, is a large symmetrical oscillator found by Jason Summers on October 31, 2004 in a RandomAgar search. It is actually an eight-barrel period-156 glider gun (firing four close glider pairs) that is currently the smallest known at that period,[1] with all output gliders suppressed by eater 1s.
The population can be reduced at the cost of doubling the period, by replacing each eater with a snake, or by replacing each pair of eaters with a beehive to produce 60P312. The pair of gliders can also be caught by a pond or loaf in a boat-bit reaction (which only works if both gliders are present.) This is found in most of the 92p156-based gun variants recorded in Catagolue.[2]
