Karel's p28 is a period-28 oscillator discovered by Karel Suhajda on June 12, 2007. Other than sharing blocks, two of these oscillators can interact at two ships.

The first known semi-natural appearance of this oscillator was in December 2014, in a symmetric soup found by Dongook Lee using apgsearch. 1 in 56 million symmetric soups in the correct symmetry form a Karel's p28. A period-56 LCM consisting of a Karel's p28 interacting with four figure eights has occurred seminaturally; this is the only p56 oscillator to appear from soup so far.

A 46-glider synthesis of this oscillator was found by Jeremy Tan on January 5, 2020.
