Legs is an 8-cell induction coil that exhibits diagonal bilateral symmetry.

It can be seen to be comprised of two tails. Referring to this as "two tails", however, is not advisable as to prevent confusion with cover.

Unlike cover, legs does not have many small stabilisations. Some examples of stabilisations of legs involve this stabilisation by two wings, and this stabilisation by two tied wings. Currently, the smallest stabilisation known is cover, which creates a still life with a population of 16.

By itself, it follows the butterfly sequence.
