- Good point. Perhaps Nathaniel didn't consider the Schick engine truly "new" --- deep down it's still just a variant of the standard ships after all. How about "no fundamentally new spaceships were discovered [...]"? Apple Bottom (talk) 20:43, 28 June 2018 (UTC)
- If it were changed to "spaceship velocities" then it would be correct. I'm not sure what the original intent was.

- I've changed it to refer to speeds for now; better to guess the original intent and perhaps guess wrong than to let factually incorrect information stand, I feel. Apple Bottom (talk) 10:06, 30 June 2018 (UTC)
