Lightweight emulator is a period-4 oscillator found by Robert Wainwright in June 1980[1] that produces sparks similar to those produced by the lightweight spaceship. It is the smallest and least useful of the three standard emulators.

This oscillator first appeared semi-naturally in September 2016.[2]
