Long hook line tub is a 12-cell still life.
This still life is comprised of a normally stable tub and a normally unstable long hook connected by a line.
Construction
This still life is known to be constructible with 5 gliders.[1] A 5-glider synthesis was found in May 2023.[2] Some known glider syntheses can be found in Mark Niemiec's database.[3]

Occurrence
- See also: List of common still lifes
Among the 121 still lifes with 12 cells, this is the 74th most common still life according to Catagolue.
There are no collisions in octohash, octo3obj or octo3g databases with this still life occurring in the ash.
