MWSS and HWSS dragging block[1] is a c/2 orthogonal spaceship. It is the smallest known example of a still life tagalong (displayed in green), involving a block being escorted by a middleweight spaceship and heavyweight spaceship.
Commonness
It first appeared naturally on August 5, 2020, in a G1 haul submitted to Catagolue by Rob Liston.[2]
It is the least common 28-cell spaceship to occur naturally. The copperhead is yet to appear in a truly asymmetric soup, making it rarer in a sense.
Glider synthesis
This spaceship currently requires nine gliders to synthesize, beginning with the heavyweight spaceship with the block and middleweight spaceship added in quick succession.
