The p140 two-glider octomino hassler is an oscillator found by Carson Cheng and iNoMed on August 27, 2023 based on a partial result from Mitchell Riley,[1] and reduced by iNoMed 5 days later.[2] At 58 cells, it is the smallest known period-140 oscillator.
It is not the only oscillator that hassles two-glider octominoes at period 140; the other known one can be seen on another page and is also an R-pentomino hassler.
On August 29, 2023, Chris857 found a 24-glider synthesis of the original eater-stabilised form.[3] He then found a 26-glider synthesis of the smaller tub-stabilised form on September 2, 2023.[4]
