The p224 lumps of muck hassler is an oscillator that was discovered by Caleb R. Hilton on August 20, 2023.[1] It is the first known engine-based period 224 oscillator. It consists of a lumps of muck being hassled by eight copies of the figure eight. This oscillator was found by hand while trying to find ways to apply transformations to the active object.
A 40-glider synthesis was provided by Chris857.[2]
