p23 honey farm hassler is a period-23 oscillator found by James Pascua on February 16, 2022.[1][2] It is the first known p23 oscillator to not be based on David Hilbert, and, with only 76 cells in its minimum phase, it was the smallest known oscillator with this period until the discovery of 70P23 in November 2022. Other p23 oscillators can be constructed that combine David Hilbert with the p23 honey farm hassler.[1]

On June 11, 2023, Chris857 and Extrementhusiast found a 45-glider synthesis for the canonical form of the oscillator, and a 44-glider synthesis for a variant using eater bridge eater.[3][4]
