p39 pi-heptomino hassler is a period-39 oscillator discovered by goldenratio and iNoMed on January 17, 2022, and the first such oscillator not based on an LCM or glider loop mechanism.[1] It consists of a Beluchenko's p13, 2 blocks, a boat, snake and a hook with tail on bookend hassling a pi-heptomino. A dimer form exists that has only stable catalysts.[2]

A glider synthesis for this oscillator was found on January 21.[3] On May 18, it was discovered by wwei23 that the p39 pi hassler could itself be used to support a different p39 pi-hassling reaction.[4]

On January 23, 2024, Chris857 found a 29-glider synthesis of the dimer form of the oscillator with eaters instead of snakes.[5][6]
