A p6 domino fountain is a period-6oscillator that emits a domino spark without side sparks and has a clear row between the domino and the rest of the oscillator. The smallest one, shown in the infobox of this page, was found by Charity Engine in dimer form on May 26, 2022,[1] but it was not noticed by a human (iNoMed) until June 2. A much larger p6 domino fountain, which has higher side clearance, was known earlier; this can be found in the gallery.
It can replace 64P6 in many situations, being one row/column thinner and having eight fewer cells at the expense of being three rows/columns wider on each side. Another advantage of the p6 domino fountain is that it is much easier to synthesise than 64P6. There are some situations where only 64P6 or only the p6 domino fountain works, as 64P6 is a heavyweight sparker and has side sparks, unlike the domino fountain.
