p79 pi-heptomino hassler is the smallest known period-79 oscillator, found by Luke Kiernan on September 27, 2022[1][2] using symmetric CatForce. It is also the first known oscillator of this period whose period is not adjustable.
A 31-glider synthesis exists for the variant shown below, where the snakes are replaced with fishhooks using the same snake rock reaction.
