Richard Kenneth Guy (born 30 September, 1916 in Nuneaton, Warwickshire) is a British mathematician and the father of Michael Guy. His most significant discovery in Conway's Game of Life is the glider. He also co-wrote Winning Ways for Your Mathematical Plays with John Conway and Elwyn Berlekamp.
