Semi-x66 is a period-4 spaceship with speed c/2 orthogonal, which involves a heavyweight spaceship supporting a sidecar which is in fact one half of x66.
Occurrence
- Main article: List of natural spaceships
As of August 2024, the semi-x66 is yet to appear naturally from soup, making it the smallest unnatural c/2 orthogonal spaceship which is not a flotilla of smaller, stable spaceships.
Glider synthesis
A 9-glider synthesis for semi-x66 was found on March 8, 2015, from the same reaction used to create the full x66 in 13 gliders.[1]
