The statorless p5 is a period-5 oscillator that was found by Josh Ball in June 2016 using Nicolay Beluchenko's version of WLS.[1] It has no stator, giving it a volatility of precisely 1. It is the first and as of July 2022, the only known period 5 oscillator with this property.
