Name change
I disagree. "Dead spark coil" is very well established terminology afaict. I'd revert this immediately if there weren't other helpful changes that happened too... Mentioning both names is fine, it's just that without a really good justification for it it seems very strange to be moving the page from its common name to a systematic one when the common name is very much in use. Obviously it depends on what the rest of the community thinks — feel free to discuss ofc! – Praosylen (talk) 03:26, 27 December 2021 (UTC)
- I'm all for moving this back if enough people want it. - AwesoMan3000 (talk) 03:40, 27 December 2021 (UTC)
- Move it back. HotdogPi (talk) 12:59, 27 December 2021 (UTC)
- Second that. There are a lot more mentions of "dead spark coil" out there than of "mirrored house". It seems unlikely that things can be improved, on balance, by switching standard well-known names to confusing unknown names, in the cause of making nomenclature slightly more consistent.
- It's really only "more consistent" if everyone agrees with your definition of "more consistent" -- which seems unlikely because nobody ever agrees on anything about this topic. You're welcome to try to explain your proposed new system so clearly that nobody can possibly disagree. But please remember that you haven't done that yet, and until then your proposal is just a proposal, not really something that ought to be wildly implemented everywhere without checking in with other LifeWiki editors first.
