Here's an excerpt from an old email which I believe is the original discovery of the reaction:

Subject: Two useless beehive perturbations

... A 3-cell spark activates two beehives that churn for a bit and remarkably wind up completely restored:

As far as I can tell, there wasn't any name for the reaction until "hive five" got applied on November 2, 2022. Dvgrn (talk) 02:28, 5 December 2023 (UTC)
