Gmc_nxtman {talk) I'm not sure how to add this as a pattern template. The pattern is extensible, and there are optional parts to it. If the pattern came with all three segments seperately, there would have to be instructions on some part of the page, which would seem rather unconventional. Perhaps the pattern should be classified as a grammar for making different growth rates, and then there would be some table of letters for the grammar or whatever.

Gmc_nxtman {talk} Part 1 of the pattern is clearly a caber tosser, because it relies on bouncing a glider between a cordership and a duplicator. For the second part, watch what happens when a glider goes into the device. It allows two *WSS to be released, hitting the back end of the c/3 spaceship and creating a tractor beam. The reason for why this device has the growth rate that it does is because the tractor beam from the device is controlled by a caber tosser. (Is there any way to add code blocks?)
