Volatility should be added to the template. It is a better than heat for measuring the type of oscillator. Low volatility means that it is a billiard table, or close to it. High volatility means it will likely have sparks or at least exterior rotor areas.--Scot Ellison 10:04, 1 July 2011 (CDT)

I like the idea and have added volatility to the template. It can be used on a page by adding something like "|v=0.50" (without the quotes) to an oscillator's template at the top of its page. For categorization reasons, include exactly 2 digits after the decimal place (and I will create categories for each possible different value from 0.00 to 1.00). Cheers!
