Toaster

Toaster (or lightweight volcano) is a period-5 oscillator that was found by Dean Hickerson on April 1, 1992[1] that produces sparks much like a lightweight spaceship on its left and right sides. A minimal change can be done to change its symmetry type.
A stator variant of this oscillator appeared semi-naturally on 2018, in a symmetric soup submitted to Catagolue by Apple Bottom[2], and another on 2022-02-16 by Charity Engine[3].
On November 19, 2021, Dongook Lee and Entity Valkyrie observed that a toaster can be phase shifted to produce an oscillator of period 5n+2.[4]
There is a smaller-population (41 cells) but higher-bounding-box (16*13) asymmetric period-5 LWSS emulator.
