Trans-long3 hook with tail is an 11-cell still life .
Construction
This still life is known to be constructible with 6 gliders.[1] Some known syntheses can be found in Mark Niemiec's database .[2] A 6-glider synthesis was found by Goldtiger997 in March 2021 ,[3] [4] and a 5-glider synthesis was discovered in March 2023 [5] .

Occurrence
It is the third rarest 11-cell still life out of 46. It is 20 times as rare as the trans-very long hook with tail and 16 times as common as the trans-long4 hook with tail .
This still life does not occur in final patterns of collisions in octohash , octo3obj or octo3g databases.
Isomers
This still life is comprised of the normally unstable long3 hook with a normally unstable tail attached. This is one of two possible isomers , named trans due to the corner part of the hook being farther from the tail; the other isomer, cis-long3 hook with tail , has this corner part slightly closer.
