- Not to be confused with Snorkel loop.
Twelve loop is a 12-cell still life. It can be interpreted as a hook with an attached hooked nine.
Glider synthesis
A 4-glider synthesis for this still life is shown below. Several alternate syntheses can be found in Mark Niemiec's database.[1]

Occurrence
Twelve loop is the 147th most common still life on Adam P. Goucher's Catagolue, being less common than pond on dock but more common than bookend siamese shillelagh. Among all still lifes with 12 cells, it is the 18th most common, being less common than ship tie snake but more common than double claw.[2] The octo3obj database contains one collision with this still life in the ash.[3]
