You are using br tags in order to create linebreaks recently. Apparently, it makes editing pages painful. Please use two linebreaks in substitution for it. Ultimium (talk) 03:18, 6 June 2020 (UTC)

WSL install

It seems that there is an easier way to install WSL these days; just enter

wsl --install

Suggestion: split major edits into two or more focused edits

Hello. When doing major edits that change a page in a significant way, I would like to suggest to split the edit into several relatively minor edits, rather than doing everything at once; for each edit, please provide a separate edit summary that explains what and why is changed.

For a concrete example, this edit is hard to review - too many changes are made at once. Confocal (talk) 13:24, 7 August 2022 (UTC)

Unease

When I am editing LifeWiki and hovering mouse over the blue button labelled "Save changes", it anomalously says "Save your changes [alt+shift+s] and alert another user to quickly revise". I have no idea what the intent or logic it is, but I find the experiences pretty unpleasant and likely to cause unnecessary conflicts. Yes, maintaining LifeWiki is a collaborative effort and there may be different opinions towards what counts as better, but the environment where harsh watching/monitoring/supervision from certain somebody persists 24/7 is definitely not encouraging.

Please do not substitute page move for proper deletion of a page and creation of an unrelated page

One of several big underlying ideas behind a wiki is that active editors review each other's contributions. No one can know everything and everyone has limitations. An one person's attempt to take care of everything is doomed to a failure.

I am reviewing your edits. Can you please explain why you chose to reuse pages (several examples: one, two, three, four) for an unrelated purpose?

"Move-to-unrelated-page" should not be used instead of proper deletion of one page and creation of an unrelated page. If you want to make a new page, you should create a new clean page. Confocal (talk) 09:03, 16 September 2022 (UTC)

I will award the title of Ironic Statement of the Year to the two sentences "An one person's attempt to take care of everything is doomed to a failure" and "I am reviewing your edits" that are mentioned simultaneously. Where are the other active users? I cannot see.

Re: the move - feel free to ask the admins to delete these pages, or in the case of moved pages, delete the old revisions. Pages that have been tagged pending deletion tend to wait too long before their actual removal. GUYTU6J (talk) 10:04, 16 September 2022 (UTC)

I believe these moves are fine. 1. They would qualify as G6 under Wikipedia, i.e. they are technical and uncontroversial. 2. Unlike Wikipedia, it often takes weeks to months for them to finally get deleted. Moving to an unrelated page effectively deletes them. I will say that it has to be something without meaningful edit history, e.g. the miscapitalized p128 wing hassler that was immediately moved and the redirect forgot to be suppressed. Note that normal users can't suppress redirects on Wikipedia, but they can here. HotdogPi (talk) 17:55, 16 September 2022 (UTC)
