Why inline reference?
Hi, there! From many pages you have constructed (e.g. the recent p21 B-heptomino hassler), it seems that you have the habit of putting forum post references inline instead of at the end of article.
However, this is not how Template:LinkForumThread is supposed to work! Writing reference info inline makes it messy and therefore harder to edit other parts of the text, especially for other editors, while spending a while combing out refs eases further maintenance. Since the second example usage for the template was added in 2017, this out-of-text format has been applied to a lot of pages, replacing the old "cite web" template that used to be inline as well.
So please follow the convention and listen to what others have said! GUYTU6J (talk) 06:33, 3 August 2021 (UTC)
